THE SCIENTIFIC/COSMOLOGICAL DEFINITION OF INFINITY
Whilst we have placed the reality of ETERNITY as the natural forever- accompaniment of INFINITY; for the subject matter of this particular Section, the notion of INFINITY is what we really want to look at. Therefore, to put this reality into some kind of “today” context; as a real-life 21st century example, let’s take the new phenomenon of a new kind of TV star --- the cosmologist --- of whom a certain few are the darlings of televised talk-fests featuring other “celebrities”, and who now travel the world on speaking engagements. Yes, they certainly know much more about the cosmos than we ever thought we once could; and yes, that relatively vast amount of knowledge at least helps us to get a glimpse of how insignificant we really are.
Yet, what do we ultimately have with all of that so-called “space knowledge”; the same words again: Humanly-incomprehensible and humanly- unfathomable! We also hear words like theory, belief, supposition and probability. In terms of an absolute knowing, what we have not yet heard is: ‘Eureka; we have finally nailed it!’ In truth, those words will never be uttered from just an earth-science perspective.
Courtesy of amazing space telescopes; all the “unfathomable” vastness of our universe now given “greater and greater expanse” --- which really cannot be understood adequately by the human brain no matter what astronomers and astro-physicists etc., etc., might aver --- is yet only one seventh of the total “area” of The World of Physical Matter.
We will run that past you again, reader: With the help of the amazing Hubble space telescope, the unfathomably-vast “universe of stars” we can now see --- but of which we have not yet discovered the actual boundary --- is yet only one seventh the area of the World of Matter that we think we are familiar with. By virtue of its materiality, that immense, total expanse previously unknown to science must therefore logically be, the smallest and lowest part of the whole of Creation!
The Law of Gravity: Finest and lightest at the top, and heaviest and coarsest at the bottom --- basic entry-level school science! How do we know this?
