THE BOOK
CHRISTIANITY:
The Christian view is well-known to much of the world so on the singular issue of the “Sonship of God” it requires only minimal comment at this stage. [We will, however, go more deeply into the whole issue at later points in the book.]
The position of global Christianity is quite simple: A One “Son of God”, Jesus -- the only “Begotten Son” -- Who is owned by global Christendom. He is supposed by all Christians, to return to earth soon and put everything right, and billions will be saved and live in a millennial paradise on earth with Him. It is certainly a pretty picture from the Church but, do you know what; the Bible does not say that at all. In fact, it says quite the opposite in more than one or two places. Let’s state it again: From a “proclamatory-warning” by Jesus, and in just one instance, note the following Scripture:
“For then there will be great distress [tribulation], unequalled from the beginning of the world until now – and never to be equalled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.” (Matthew 24:15, 21-22.)
Not exactly a “hallelujah survival picture” for all who claim to be His followers is it? The global Christian Church has clearly gotten something disastrously wrong here, but no one within the “earthly organisations” will address what is clearly and unequivocally a brutally-obvious error. The ‘Church’, however, cannot have it both ways. In just this one example it’s the blind [leaders] leading the equally blind [followers] -– exactly as He also said.
“Leave them, they are blind guides [of the blind]. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14.)
Despite the clear warning signs in the Bible, there are no other considerations here for Christianity. It is as we have outlined. Of course, there is no competition with the other two of the “big three”. The reason: Christianity claims The Son of God, Jesus, solely as its own, because Islam and Judaism do not.
On the strength of these few paragraphs alone, we can extrapolate the view that there is probably much more to this “Sonship of God” consideration than all three “mono-religions” really understand; or worse, even want to understand, and that is the certain truth. Despite all their ‘scholarly’ dissertations about the subject, the Christian Church lives in dark ignorance around the Truth of Son of God/Sons of God -- as does Islam and Judaism. Notwithstanding the fact that it is truly so, we will nonetheless flesh out and elucidate that fundamental Truth to its farthest degree as we continue the book, and around the “Sonship” of God we will discover that the “proof of the Pudding” really is in the ‘eating’.
For if we extrapolate the life of Jesus to the ongoing debate about His “supposed return”, the truly amazing aspect of that topic centres on the large numbers of authors --- and lecturers and professors etc. of religious universities etc. --- many of whom contribute to the Documentary Channels, particularly. Despite their supposed eminence in knowledge of the Bible, the fundamentals within that revered Work which give clear answers to so many topics that puzzle “scholars” and laymen alike, are completely missed. Instead, what one hears is the “conditioned mantra/narrative” repeated over and over again; a narrative which ostensibly offers true explanations.
Yet they don’t. In fact, their answers are not even close to anywhere the Truth, especially about His “Return”. Reader: Keenly delve into the later Discourses on exactly that Revelation and you, too, will be amazed at why the obvious is simply “not seen”, and learn what is really there!
Now it’s time to hear what the scholars of the “once-chosen people” have to say, and how they see their role today. Do they still regard themselves as still the “chosen”? If so, and given their “hard” historical journey, are they perhaps “less-chosen” now, or, in their estimation, more so?
