JUDAISM AND THE IRON LAW OF RECIPROCAL ACTION

In the case of Judaism, we should expect that the Judaic doctrine on this Law will reflect what is in the Old Testament, vis-à-vis: Exodus 21:23-25 and Leviticus 24:19-21 for example, which we recently quoted --- but does it?

What might “scholars of Judaism” make of the “eye for an eye” doctrine, and does the Torah differ from the Old Testament in content and/or inference in the case of this Law? Well, let’s find out. Adam Kirsch is a Talmudic rabbi who has written a fulsome essay on this subject. From his online dissertation we will cull relevant comment. He writes:

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”. This phrase from Exodus is one of the best known sayings in the Torah, and has done great harm in the reputation of Judaism over the ages. Taken on its own terms, the idea that an injury should be paid in kind can be seen as an attempt to impose fairness and justice in criminal law. It’s easy to imagine that, in pre-biblical societies, the victim of an injury might retaliate by taking his attacker’s life; this would create a cycle of feuding and vengeance that could go on for generations. By limiting the punishment for injury, by insisting that every injury be repaid in kind, the Torah seeks to take revenge out of the hand of individuals, to impose a standard that is immediately comprehensible as fair. -------
   To Christianity, “an eye for an eye” represented everything that was wrong with Judaism, as a religion of law rather than love. Jesus made the point in the Sermon on the Mount, when he specifically repudiated this phrase: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, that ye resist not evil, but whosever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Judaism offers grudging vengeance, Christianity a sublime generosity --- an equation that was, and continues to be, highly influential in Western culture. --------
   What is much less known, even to many Jews, is that by the time Jesus lived, Judaism itself had also repudiated the literalism of “an eye for an eye.” ....Chapter Eight of Tractate Bava Kamma ... deals with increasingly serious kinds of personal injury --- to where the rabbis turn to the most serious type of all, the deliberate infliction of bodily injury, including death. And right at the start, they are confronted with the biblical edict that personal injuries are supposed to be punished by inflicting the same injury on the attacker --- “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”
   Yet this principle is directly contradicted by the Mishna in Bava Kamma 83b, which has nothing to say about reciprocal injuries. Rather, the Mishna says that “one who injures another” is liable to pay five kinds of penalties: “for damage, for pain, for medical costs, for loss of livelihood, and for humiliation.” In other words, the mishna starts from the assumption that the penalty for injury is the payment of money. But where does this assumption come from, and how can it be reconciled with the seemingly explicit statement in Exodus, which is repeated in Leviticus: “A fracture for a fracture..... etc. .... So shall it be given unto him”?
   The truth is that, as we have seen over the last four years of reading Daf Yomi, the rabbis very often depart from biblical law, even to the extent of rewriting it. Exactly when in Jewish history, the practice changed from reciprocal injury to the payment of a fine is unclear, but by the time the Mishna was compiled, in the first century CE, the change was already well-established. However, it is a fundamental principle of the Talmud that such revisions can never be acknowledged as revisions. After all, if the Bible is the word of God, no human court can modify it. What it can do, instead, is to reinterpret the Bible so that it says the reverse of what it seems to plainly mean. Such reinterpretation is authorized by the idea that the oral law, as recorded in the Mishna, is of equal antiquity with the written law because both were given to Moses at Sinai.
   In this case, however, the contradiction between the Mishna and the Torah is so direct that the rabbis of the Gemara are clearly unsettled by it. “The Merciful One states: An eye for an eye,” the Gemara points out, and “you might say an actual eye” is what it means. But this common-sense reading is immediately ruled out, in strong terms: “That interpretation should not enter your mind,” the Gemara replies, as though it were a dangerous temptation that must be resisted. Instead the rabbis quote a baraita which gives the correct interpretation of the Torah verse: “One might have thought that if one blinded the eye of another, the court blinds his eye as punishment; or if one severed the hand of another, the court severs his hand; or if one broke the leg of another, the court breaks his leg.”
   However, the proper way of reading the Torah, in this case, is to ignore the surface meaning and focus on a meaningful juxtaposition. ..........
   The Torah speaks of “striking an animal” and then of “maiming his neighbour,” using two different verbs. But the Gemara dismisses this as merely verbal quibble:.... Yet a third explanation comes from a verse in Numbers, which reads, “And you shall not take ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, for he shall die.” By specifying that there is no ransom, or monetary payment, for sparing the life of a murderer, the text implies that there is ransom in the case of nonlethal injury.
   After offering these textual bases for the law, the Gemara goes on to cite several logical explanations for it. The first comes from Rabbi Dosta ben Yehuda, who notes that people’s eyes can be of different sizes. What if someone with large eyes put out the eye of someone with small eyes? If the court demanded a large eye in retaliation for a small one, there would be an inequity, which would defy the Torah principle “You shall have one manner of law” for all people. To avoid this inequity of eye sizes, the law calls for the payment of money instead. But the rabbis go on to dismiss Dosta’s (remarkably weak) argument, because what is at issue is surely not the size of the eye, but its power of vision. If retribution were based on physical dimensions, the rabbis point out, a large man could kill a small man without fear of the death penalty, but this would be absurd, because it is not the size of the body but its life that matters.
   Rabbi Shimon ben Yocha then comes to offer another challenge to “an eye for an eye.” Imagine a case, he argues, in which a blind man puts out the eye of a seeing man. Because it is impossible to blind a man who is already blind, the attacker would be immune from punishment, and this would again violate the principle “you shall have one manner of law.” To avoid this inequity, damages are assessed in money, which everyone can pay. Yet here too the Gemara is not satisfied; after all, the rabbis reason, the Torah might intend literal retaliation in every case where it is possible, only exempting cases like the blind man, where it can be carried out.
   Finally, after several more explanations and challenges, we come to a rabbi who actually does take the Torah verse at face value: “Rabbi Eliezer says: “An eye for an eye” is referring to an actual eye.” But the Gemara is so convinced that this is incorrect that it immediately explains away Eliezer’s position. What he really meant is that the attacker must pay damages equal to the amount he would have suffered if he had lost his own eye. But actually taking his eye is beyond the pale of consideration. The Talmud documents the evolution of Jewish legal and moral thinking over the centuries; and the more I read it, the more I am convinced that no amount of “what Judaism believes” can be complete without putting the Talmud at the heart of things’.

Well, reader; now there is an interesting amount of “stuff”. What stands out so glaringly here is the effort that “scholars of religion” will put into their arguments to attempt to “prove their point” conclusively. Yet what we have quoted is just the tiniest portion of what is “out there” in Jewish religious opinion.

And that’s the problem, isn’t it? We have said it many times thus far, and we will say it many more times yet before we are finished; for if repetition is the only way to hammer home even the smallest bit of logic into what is usually just pointless, illogical and quite silly debate --- as in the case of some of the religious opinions in the above text, then that is what we are tasked to do. In the end, of course, and unfortunately, it will only be for the few who will be open to “recognising” what is being offered in this Work!

So: In terms of the various arguments offered to explain “an eye for an eye” etc. in the text; from the historical point of view, a number of critical factors can be extrapolated from it.

Firstly, the Torah and associated Jewish texts from the same period precede the Bible in its current entirety --- as determined by the early “leaders of the Church”.

Secondly, The Torah and the Old Testament originally shared a common religious thread of sure guidance from the line of Jewish prophets --- and basically does to this day.

Thirdly, Talmudic rabbi, Kirsch, points to what should have been a seminal change in Jewish religious “thought and practice” at the Proclamation by Jesus during His Sermon on the Mount where Jewish Law was transformed from the old disciplinary “letter of the Law” that the “stiff-necked” Jews needed, to one of greater magnanimity, compassion and love. Kirsch is correct where he states: ‘To Christianity, “an eye for an eye” represented everything that was wrong with Judaism, as a religion of law rather than love’.

The problem for Judaism and the whole of the Jewish race is that the actuality of Who Jesus was has never been recognised by them, or the many proclamations He made, that ultimately derived from Divine Law --- of which He was Part. Thus: “I come not to overthrow The Law but to fulfil it.” (Matthew 5:17.)

So, it was not that the original Law was no longer relevant, but that it had to be given new life and meaning; far removed from the dead ritual that had actually religiously-enslaved the populace for centuries. Thus, the Divine Message brought to the Jewish race in the first instance that is in the New Testament should be understood by present-day Judaism and all its Rabbinic and Talmudic “scholars” --- and whoever else might be in the Jewish religious mix, like the “head-nodding, black-hatted and garbed Ultra-Orthodox sect” --- as a “necessary transition” from the “dead” of the ‘letter of the old” to the “Spirit” of the “New Covenant”.

It should have been the task of the Jewish race, then, to begin that transformation in their religion, and thence to its dissemination to other peoples ---- exactly as the Disciples of Jesus did. But no; cling at all costs to the old and dead, and condemn and put to death all those tasked to bring “light and life” to the “old”; and, of course, to attempt to extinguish the very Light of God --- if they could.

Now reader: here’s the really amazing and just plain silly outcome. Because all of that was lost on the Jewish race; 2,000 odd years later, we have great Jewish “scholars” from the “chosen race” today debating the meaning of “an eye for an eye” and, almost unbelievably, in the public domain coming up with things like “a large eye versus a small eye”.

In addition, then perhaps whether that particular example might mean “not the size of the eye, but its power of vision”.

Continuing that theme; we are also treated to the notion that: “If retribution were based on physical dimensions, a large man could kill a small man without fear of the death penalty”. Why? Well, that is because “it is not the size of the body but its life that matters”. Reader:

Do “Jewish religious scholars” really spend their day thinking on such things or, worse, teaching the same pointless arguments to gullible students who then perpetuate the same silly paradigm?

In the vernacular of the present: But wait, there’s more! Notwithstanding that we are examining the great and immutable Divine Law of Reciprocal Action; the points of debate that are included in what is really a very small essay on the subject of “Reciprocity by Law” certainly “blow my mind”.

For we also have the debate about what might be the penalty if “a blind man puts out the eye of a seeing man”. What is the Jewish penalty here? If there is any, what might the actual penalty be?

Well, you have read the text, but we will reproduce it again here: “Because it is impossible to blind a man who is already blind, the attacker would be immune from punishment, and this would again violate the principle “you shall have one manner of law.”

In earthly human debate on this subject, I think we will let Mahatma Gandhi have the last word, for his memorable observation --- though perhaps given tongue in cheek --- nonetheless surely makes the greatest sense.

“An eye for eye will make the whole world blind.”

For this next Section, we are going to leave the mostly illogical world of religious opinion behind us and simply look at just a few examples of our incredible stupidity!

EXAMPLES OF HUMAN TRANSGRESSIONS AGAINST THIS PRIME LAW

Now, since all The Spiritual Laws are designated as Natural Laws --- which outworking and fulfilment we observe and experience in the totality of our lives each day --- it is vital to understand that the infallible mechanism for that outworking is actually the inviolable perfection of The Laws themselves. They are Laws of which the validity, authority, perfection, and therefore absolute inviolability, derive from The Divine Perfection of The Creator Himself. And are thus Laws that, without imperfection or deviation, return to us every nuance of every decision we make.

And because we sought conscious life and petitioned The Creator for it, The Spiritual Laws of Life, woven into the fabric of His Creation, are thus the Rules by which we must live. Through petitioning for conscious life, we are forever irrevocably bound to the living reality that the gift of free will automatically imbued us with the personal responsibility to exercise that gift correctly by heeding His Laws, and thereby living accordingly.

MAD COW DISEASE

Now: In direct concert with the Creation-Law we are presently examining --- The Law of Reciprocal Action: A prime example of the damage that can be wrought through transgressing this particular Law can be clearly noted in the episode of “mad cow disease” that brought Britain to its “agricultural knees”. Shortcut economic practices in British agriculture resulted in the concomitant emergence of a human equivalent of the disease through the consumption of contaminated meat and meat products from infected animals. This resulted in the terrible slaughter of many thousands of infected beasts.

The Laws of Creation ordain that herbivores such as cows and beef cattle should not consume food derived from their own kind. Meat and meat products are the ordained natural food of carnivores. The farming industry cannot arbitrarily force such a radical change in the diet of captive animals without expecting severe consequences. That shameful event produced a hard, “lawful” lesson for agricultural “science”.

In the case of this particular example, the possibility that “mad cow disease” may have crossed the species barrier to infect humans, should be regarded as unequivocal proof that The Spiritual Laws, which ultimately manifest as physical Laws, cannot be transgressed without serious consequences. The full potential horror of “mad cow disease” may still be a little way off as the great uncertainty is whether or not there may be a large pool of infected people quietly moving through an unknown incubation period.

According to research published in the British Medical Journal around September 20th 2002, more than 7000 Britons could face an increased risk of contracting the human form of mad cow disease. In this example alone we can clearly note that The Law of Reciprocal Action, as with all these Laws, necessarily supports every other Law as a part of all processes and outcomes.

COLLAPSE OF BEE COLONIES WORLDWIDE

On a more serious note for global societies; in the first decade of the 21st century, alarm bells sounded over the collapse of millions of beehives world-wide. To the year 2011, hive losses in America had reached 50 per cent, and Europe 40 per cent. Quite obviously, this disastrous trend threatens a large and vital part of global food production. Many theories and reasons have been put forward for such a drastic collapse. One culprit is certainly the so-called ‘modern’ corporate farming method of single-crop plantings covering literally thousands of acres and the associated pesticide/herbicide use/overuse on those areas.

Pollination of such large areas of single-crop cultivation, particularly in the U.S., means that there is not sufficient food there for the bees themselves. So, not only are the weakened bees more susceptible to poisoning by spray residue, but the current method of trucking thousands of hives thousands of miles every year to pollinate crops stresses the colonies, thus threatening more hive collapses. Recommendations from real bee experts for these solely profit-driven companies to plough up small pockets of ground in those monoculture deserts and plant wildflowers to feed those very necessary ‘workers’ have thus far largely fallen on deaf ears. The corporate ethos reigns supreme here too – so far!

The chemical companies claim their products are safe, of course. China, however, has openly acknowledged that in one fruit-growing region, continual pesticide use killed all the bees in that area. Consequently, pollination of the whole fruit crop must now be done by hand, a method which is acknowledged to be unsustainable in the long term.

Another foolish corporate idea --- artificial insemination of queen bees in the lab using sperm from a single drone contributor --- means that the necessary and natural diversity that would ordinarily occur when queen bees are mated by many drones during the nuptial flight is denied those “corporate lab queens”. The predatory ‘viroa’ mite currently infecting hives globally is proving difficult to eradicate. In many cases now, the mite has actually become resistant to the pesticides designed to kill them.

When will we finally learn the most valuable life-lesson necessary for our physical well-being here on Earth? That irrespective of all so-called ‘advances’ in science, Mother Nature’s way is, and always will be, the best way! And the ‘hard lesson’ over bee colony collapse? If it continues, then the outcome may ultimately be global starvation. What were we told by The Spirit of Truth?

“What you call the Laws of Nature are, of course, the Divine Laws, are the Creator’s Will.”

Science, we know, notates the essence of The Law of Reciprocal Action thus: “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

The book of Job (34:11), however, in succinct truth perfectly states the consequential reality of such foolish “science” in just six gloriously blunt words.

“But man’s actions return on himself.”

Now reader, we get to the real heart of this great and inviolable Law, for what is probably not accepted or even known is that there is not just simply an “equal, opposite reaction”, but a reaction that is always “lawfully imbued” with greater power in the “return”. It is thus very much more than might be expected to result from the originating decision.

But even with such obvious warning signs now clearly present, science, in its dangerously-incorrect mind-set that it can change the lawful processes of natural development against the Ordination of The Creator, are slowly taking this aberrant experimentation to what must be recognised and understood as being levels of actual insanity.

INSEMINATION OF COWS

The position adopted by this particular branch of science states that by inserting human genes into cow’s milk, the practice will produce “products” that will ostensibly heal various kinds of diseases in human beings. Such a misguided view, however, fails to even begin to understand that if we desire better outcomes in all areas of life --- including health --- then we must heed the very Creation-Laws of Life. That is how we gift to ourselves optimum health.

Perhaps the greater danger, however, lies in the insidious nature of the seductive, emotional propaganda that is used to sell the whole idea. That emotionalism ultimately feeds on the fear of millions of the sick globally whom GE science claims could be saved from so-called premature death if these “life-saving” techniques were permitted. The other beguiling aspect lies in the fact that not only are many political “leaders” hell-bent on supporting this branch of “science”, but even within indigenous communities of the world there are those who have been seduced by this new and dangerous direction.

An interesting paradox arises here. The sophisticated technology of this particular branch of western scientific thinking --- which regards the cow as solely a factory unit for the production of by-products to pamper people who, for the most part, have refused to live correctly-healthily in the first place --- have absolutely no idea of either The Primordial Laws which govern all science, which ultimately constrains all wrong science anyway, or of the life-force present in all animals.

In striking contrast to that position, many millions in India view cows in a totally different light. Even though wrongly revering them as sacred, they nevertheless understand that their value lies in the animal just as it is in its natural state --- as a giver of milk as food unadulterated by defective science. At least, that is the general position at this time.

The one note of sanity in the West thankfully lies in the swelling volume of people and groups utterly and implacably opposed to all such aberrant deviation away from the complete naturalness of the Perfection inherent in The Laws of Nature. No earthly science can ever oppose them with arrogant impunity and not expect that there will be consequences. Of course, there is always a period of time for such experimentation to run its particular course, for ‘free will’ is never taken from us.

If the world’s humanity were to truly spiritually awaken, then implacable opposition to all GE technology would be understood to be spiritually, and thus scientifically, correct. It would not be regarded as some kind of aberrant “green-fringe fanaticism” as it presently is. For we already have, among other disturbing incidents, the lessons of lower yields for GE crops, and the increasing spread of GE contamination away from original release points.

Gary Goldberg, when CEO of the American Corn Growers Association (ACGA), spoke about the harm GE technology has caused US farmers:

“This is a case of if we knew then what we know now, American farmers would not have been so easily convinced that GE crops were the way to go. Our land has become contaminated with GE pollution that we cannot control or remove from our environment. Conventional farms are being contaminated, and we have no choice of GE or non-GE crops. None of the promises have come true and it is time for farmers to understand that the promises that have been made and will continue to be made will not come true either. We are losing export markets... Those markets can be filled by [other] farmers...”

But even facts such as those outlined here are still not yet sufficient to convince the proponents of this dangerously-wrong foolishness --– the scientists, the politicians and all others who subscribe to it -- that any kind of experimentation with the actual genome of humans and animals to try to bring about a genetic modification or mutation will be far more devastating than just simple plant modification.

For whilst each species of the plant kingdom has its own specific genetic code, which gives it its particular perfection of function and form, the plants themselves do not possess the same kind of life force that humans and animals have. And it is that specific kind of inner animation that has driven the development of humans and given the many and varied species of animals their unique place in the world. Without any input from human “science”, the evolution and development of all life forms has proceeded in accordance with a plan that permits the absolute perfection of each. It is a plan that GE earth-sciences could not even begin to emulate, yet arrogantly believes it can improve upon.

Such a serious transgression is not at all difficult to even prophesy against, for that will forever and always be the outcome of working against The Eternal Laws in any case. The final outcome will therefore reveal itself in the reciprocal effect/s that each group --- the supporters and those who oppose such practices --- will one day subsequently receive. That, we can be sure, will be a “devastating return” for one side, that of its supporters.

NANO-TECHNOLOGY --- THE DOWNSIDE

The same scenario will very probably apply to the proponents of the 21st century’s scientific ‘darling’ --- Nano-technology. Touted to improve the lot of humankind in many diverse areas, it holds the potential to make billions of dollars for certain global Corporations and their shareholders. Without any consultation from global consumers --- and seemingly no opposition from Governments anywhere --- Nano-particles are now well-established in many products in some Western countries, even in baby foods.

Even though ostensibly promoting better human health from oral hygiene to more effective medicines to prolonging life, and even to producing better and safer fuels etc.; very little thought was given to the detrimental effects that any new technology will inherently possess by the scientists who developed the technology. Not just the development, of course, but also the means to deliver it to us all in the global mix. Why did they not do that?

Simple; through big-money and bigger rewards, research scientists in the new field of Nano-technology will make some global Corporates and their financial backers very much richer than they are now --- obscenely so!

Since the god-corporate and money still reign supreme in the world at this time, concerns raised by opposing scientists about the long-term effects that Nano-particles may have on the wider natural environment are ignored. The very fact that the inclusion of many varied kinds of ‘particles’ will rapidly increase in the food and drink industry, in clothing manufacturing, in the hair care and beauty products industries etc.; means that in their uncountable billions, they will be defecated from humans obviously --– and probably from pet and farm animals too --– rinsed out of hair, washed out of clothing, and all of it ending up in the soils, rivers and oceans of the world.

Quite logically, they will almost certainly be taken up by the plants, animals and fishes, ultimately ending up in the human food-chain on the shelves of supermarkets.

Nano-technology: One more human technology that arrogantly believes it can improve upon the most effective developmental-process system ever devised --- that of “Mother Nature”. And one that surely believes (otherwise we would not do it) that there could not possibly be any detrimental effects from such clever thinking. That surely is a prime example of the “Error of Scientism!” “What we sow, we reap!”

Perhaps the most frightening area for this “technology” is that which is now secretly taking place in military research and weapons-development facilities. Weaponising Nano-technology to manufacture and programme billions of “undetectable delivery systems” of nano-bytes to wreak, at this time, unimaginable havoc on an “enemy” must surely represent the most insidious “weapon-idea” to date. For, in their trillions, weaponised nano-particles released anywhere into earth’s bio-sphere --- like all weapons delivered --- cannot then be recalled.

And if they are computer-controlled through the rapidly advancing super-miniaturisation of micro-ships, such as the frightening weaponised “nano-swarms” are believed to be, then they have the potential to be “hacked” and used against the country that “sends them out” to do battle.

Worse still --- in a scenario put forward by eminent scientists --- if A.I. (artificial intelligence) has advanced to the point where such “swarms” have the ability to “make their own decisions”, then we surely have reached the point of complete “paranoiac madness”! Super-powers of the world take serious note: That is how far our human madness has now taken us! -------- “Few men left”! ------- Remember!

Surely, reader; the sooner the great prophecies are fulfilled to their decreed and greatest point, the better off planet earth will be!

CAPITALISM AND THE BATTLE FOR CONTROL OF OIL

Just to remind us of what we have done to our earthly home, let’s quote Isaiah once more.

The “Earth” also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the “Laws”, changed the decrees, broken the everlasting covenant.

Reader: In grim reinforcement, what now follows is true wisdom. But it doesn’t come from a Western academic with a long list of “letters” after his name. No; it derives from Native American “understanding” of what the natural environment is really meant to mean for earth-humans! In the global sense both our earthly home and the creatures upon it were given to humankind to nurture and protect, and to take only what we required; but, reader, look at the Earth today.

The story is glaringly obvious. Poisoned and pillaged in a mind-set of rapacious, selfish greed under the name of progress and good economic strategy. Unfortunately, because such practices ultimately impact on all eco-systems, it is now time for global humanity to “pay the ferryman”. Yet the price may prove to be well beyond our ability to pay. Learning the “Rules” and living by them may perhaps go some way toward lessening the cost. It will still be very high, however, as that cannot be changed now –- though it can perhaps be reduced.

In 1854 Chief Seattle of the Duwamish addressed Governor Isaac Stevens and gave what is probably inadequately described as; “...the most beautiful and profound statement on the environment ever made”. Now preserved for posterity; his full address should especially be prominent in the homes and workplaces of all politicians, bankers, ‘money-men’, CEO’s, Boards of Directors, and all who aspire to so-called ‘leadership’. In truth, if we really wish to have any kind of planet worth living on, Chief Seattle’s great wisdom should be made mandatory reading from an early age for all peoples of all races! The “holders” of the Copyright are “Friends of the Earth”.

Taken from Chief Seattle’s comprehensive statement, the following few lines appropriately encapsulate the foolishness displayed by various rapacious economies.

“Whatever befalls the earth, befalls the sons of the earth. If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves.
This we know, the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to earth. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.
One thing we know, which the White Man may one day discover -– our God is the same God. You may think now that you own Him as you wish to own our land, but you cannot.
The earth is precious to Him and to harm the earth is to heap contempt on its Creator.
Continue to contaminate your bed and one night you will suffocate in your own waste.

Reader: in the 21^st century, our blue-planet home is surely “suffocating in plastic waste”. At this present time in humankind’s evolutionary journey; in ecological terms we stand on the edge of an abyss. For unless we change our thinking and attitude towards the single, great interconnected-organism that permits us life down here --- Planet Earth --- the majority of humankind will shortly topple into that widening chasm. The truth is: that despite the world-wide protests and marches against “climate change” in 2019 and swelling in volume, it is simply far too late for any real “turn-around” resolution. The corporate ‘gurus’ call it scaremongering or similar. They also say we can solve all the problems that ‘global warming’ is wreaking on human societies now, never mind the exponential effect already evident. That is now very clearly a garbage belief, for the obvious equation is quite simple.

Planet Earth can only give as much of its life-energy as its own ‘constantly-renewing ecology’ will actually allow.

Economies, societies, and cultures of global humanity must therefore respect and embrace earth’s ‘natural program’. The resources of the planet, though finite, can still be constantly sustainable if output, or extraction, equals input, or correct conservation. Earth’s biosphere does not possess an ‘endless-growth mechanism’ for we ‘lemming-like’ humans now numbering in the ‘too-many’ billions.

So, when extraction of resources far exceeds earth’s sustainable threshold just to fuel growth and consumerism for obscene profit, as has been the case with Western capitalism --- especially the USA since the Industrial Revolution -– degradation of the planet’s ‘life-system’ is the inevitable result.

The emerging “business empire” of China has virtually rewritten the “book of consumerism”. Yet, in a really bizarre trend, countries of the West effectively neutered/destroyed much of their own manufacturing capacity by turning it over to China, thus making that country very rich and now militarily very powerful --- precisely because of that economically-generated wealth.

Yet even that mighty, emergent, industrial, and economic empire; during this writing began to suffer from “Chinese-whispers” which detrimentally affected its economy.

In this example, the great Law of Reciprocal Action really shows its powerful and inexorable outworking, for China’s growing power exerts a subtle effect of nervous trepidation against countries it chooses to so influence, but which cannot hope to reply in kind.

A NECESSARY POST-COMPLETION “POST-SCRIPT”

THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC IN THE U.S.

Reader: In “Author’s Note”, we stated that this Work would not follow standard literary protocols but would venture wherever it needed to in order to fulfil its Mandated Purpose!

To that end, this “Post-Completion” evaluation of a particular aspect of how American-style Capitalism “conducted business” when it finally dawned on the Country “leader” that “Americanism” could not simply dismiss the virus with the standard “gung-ho” rhetoric that all American political “leaders” seem to constantly spew forth. Televised statements to that effect have long been the norm in that country, and in the usual and now nauseating vein i.e.,

“America is the greatest country in the world, and we can defeat this thing (easily)” etc., etc.

What came as a stunning surprise in what has very rightfully turned out to be a decision of monumental stupidity was the revelation that American Pharmaceutical giants had turned over the manufacturing of antibiotics and most other pharmaceutical products to China. Scrambling to try to avert a huge social and health catastrophe after being dismissive of the very clever Virus, emergency powers were enacted to try produce the amount of medical “stuff” needed to treat the tens of thousands who contracted the infection.

Despite announcing an unprecedented and seemingly altruistic two trillion-dollar relief package to save big business and jobs and to help families during the crisis, some well-respected economic commentators predicted that such large amounts to the corporates would result in those directors taking a large cut in increased “management fees”. (The calculated “trickle-down effect” aggressively promoted by clever but greedy money-men that only served to make them richer, rarely offered much “farther down the chain”.)

The way in which America lackadaisically handled the initial outbreak reveals their unbelievable naivety. One of the architects of “globalisation” and free movement of people and goods --- always for American business in the first instance, of course --- that very freedom of movement provided the perfect “vector” for the rapid transmission of the Covid 19 Virus --- The Pestilence that Separates --- right across the world.

As we have written elsewhere in this large tome, so-called “super-power” status means absolutely nothing when it comes to whatever Mother Nature throws at us.

In summary: No matter which way we might choose to look at the pandemic and its global effect, the one sure reality is that human activity gave it life, and humans then took it around the world.

Reader: We might describe the whole event as one of the best examples that this particular Discourse could possibly supply. For the pandemic surely displayed the perfect outworking of the great and immutable “Law of Reciprocal Action” to almost every group on earth.

Moreover, in every country affected, an inevitable reality of the unassailable Power of that Divine, Eternal Law became tragically, yet lawfully, evident. We must never forget that The Laws of Creation never “return to us” the reciprocal effect of our actions and decisions arbitrarily. Therefore, as difficult as it might be to accept, the degree of illness and death that each country suffered was exactly commensurate with every nuance of how each had “lived” or “not lived” the Commands of Divine Law!

More especially in the case of nations whose religion embraced Monotheism, then the warning of reciprocity that “we reap what we sow”, must be accepted as the only way to understand what took place, for that is ever the reality for all tragedies!

A secondary yet nevertheless very real problem that helped the spread of Covid 19 is the fact that the earth is simply burdened with too many people.

To this writer’s knowledge, only one internationally-syndicated commentator -- Gwynne Dyer -- had the courage to state this clear fact some years ago; a statement for which he was roundly condemned by emotionally-ignorant, self-interest groups and main-stream religions. Since then, of course, many are now saying it! But not all, and mostly not the ones who should be saying it --- U.N. leaders and global politicians.

Now, earth’s ‘supplies’ are in serious deficit. And that deficit is growing exponentially under impossible yet nonetheless precisely-related increasing human demands deriving from explosive population-growth. Yet even at the great, much-lauded, make-or-break, last-chance-for-the-earth, Cop 26 conference, no one had the courage to state the obvious! Reader: Isn’t the Great Prophet, Isaiah, truly wonderful:

“Ten men will take counsel, and it will come to naught!”

Along with China’s relaxation of its former one-child policy, for most governments, religions, cultures, ethnic groups etc., the idea of publicly promoting some kind of reduction mechanism for human population growth is, perversely, almost akin to ‘suicide’. Yet that is exactly what the outcome will be for our growing billions, for we have had neither the courage nor the genuine inclination to institute real and necessary change.

So now: More growth, more consumerism, more waste, more immigration into wealthy Western economies to fuel this insidious and fatally-compromised, never-ending, insane carousel called Capitalism degrades and finally destroys increasingly-fragile, global eco-systems.

Concomitantly, also, destruction of excessive ‘first-world’ type lifestyles, and the culling of earth’s population: The great Law of Reciprocity in all its clear “return”!

Surely even a fool can understand that!

Reader: Should that sound warning bells for the political and economic ‘movers and shakers’? Of course, it should! However, as evidenced by more rapid degradation and destruction of more and more eco-systems, ‘they’, for this short time of ‘pregnant pause’ anyway, are obtusely blind and deaf to the glaring reality of the moment. The awakening, though, will come soon --- with hard outcomes.

AMERICAN-STYLE CAPITALISM: THE ETHOS OF RABID CONSUMERISM

What drives this mad carousel? One word: Capitalism -- American brand capitalism. And, of course, its twin partner in crime; the share-market -- the shareholders of which ‘continually demand’ larger and larger ‘profit-returns’ no matter how derived or who or what suffers for ‘their’ dividend.

Previously seriously-exploiting Third-world Nations for very large profits, it was never an altruistic decision for the benefit of the Third-world on the part of at least the greater majority of the larger ‘Corporates’, and also the I.M.F.

Reader, do you know what in the final analysis drives ‘Corporate-capitalism’, the real power that ‘calls the shots’ for Governments and global societies? Just one word; it’s ‘petrodollars’! Petroleum is the one single commodity and ‘force’ which has both permitted and driven capitalist expansion and its concomitant human demographic explosion from about one billion at the turn of the 20th century to numbers that can no longer be ‘fed and watered’ adequately in the first decades of the 21st century -– over seven billion and of course increasing exponentially.

Still, the Divine Power inherent in The Law of Reciprocal Action acting on greater and greater numbers of human beings as we all track to a very bad outcome, will really show us how senseless we have become.

I hear cries of horror and dismissive-derision from all capitalists. Yet even the most rabid of them cannot deny that by its very nature capitalism demands growth and more growth to survive, thus generating the profits needed to fuel more growth for still greater profits. And only with sufficient petroleum supplies can that kind of growth be maintained. In a brutally objective assessment of the impact of such an ethos and associated monetary system on human and natural life; in the final analysis it is quite simply insane -– because in its present form and application it is completely unsustainable!

And so, in the 21st century, more financial institutions, national and worldwide, have “...bitten the dust”. Many more will follow, until all that refuse to abandon their present ‘aspiritual practices’ collapse completely. And Covid 19 has certainly accelerated that process, albeit mostly with medium and smaller businesses.

As we strongly assert in this very Discourse: The increasing Spiritual pressure -- or spiritual stranglehold -- now being exponentially applied to all the affairs of men actually strengthens both the good and the bad.

Thus, the good -- or that which adjusts itself to The Law -- will prosper; and the bad or wrong -- that which opposes Creation-Law -- will collapse. In that truism we have an infallible standard by which to measure events around us and to choose accordingly.

Whilst we have identified the major pattern that fuels and purposefully drives more growth for more consumerism for more profits etc., what is critical to understand is that that ethos would not even be part of our mindset today if humanity had followed the many teachings of Truth gifted to us, and consequently recognised that we do not live just once only. Reader: It is precisely that terrible error which drives the mad scramble for personal wealth at all costs --- at any cost! The price of that “blindness”? It is the inexorable “killing” of our earthly home and the extinction of many species --- gone forever!

Towards the end of this PART II --- THE LIVING LAW --- you will meet two Discourses that explain in detail the Truth about “death for human beings”. The first of the two Discourses is about The First Death --- that with which we are all more or less familiar, at least in its earthly finality of the “body in the casket”.

The second Discourse explains, illuminates, the Truth about what is for human beings, The Second Death --- the extinction (a perfect term given that we are doing the same to our fellow creatures), the annihilation of our actual “human life-force” --- our Spirit!

Anyway, you all know what all the great prophecies say awaits us --- “few men left”! So, “blind billionaires”, live for today, drill the whole planet and make more money than you can even spend --- but you still “can’t take it with you”!

The greater insanity here is that the economic ‘growth-engine model’ based on ‘oil’, ‘black gold’, has almost run its course. In terms of human history, ‘petroleum-power’ represents just a short steep spike on the graph of human habitation on Planet Earth. Yet in that brief historical period now spiking downwards were fought the most destructive wars in our history. Global wars only made possible because of oil to drive the war machines and the industries which conceived and built them in their vast numbers, and which grew the societies that brought forth the men to man them!

The hypocrisy of the U.S., particularly, ensures that it aligns itself with countries that either possess large reserves of oil, and/or are allied with the West’s international monetary system and its “enforcers” –- the World Bank and the I.M.F. Any deviation from the status quo would mean the end of the U.S. as a ‘superpower’, a notion that really frightens Americans.

How do you ensure that that does not happen? Simple! You use your superpower abilities to roam the world’s oceans with large naval Task Forces, and you acquire and permanently man vast military bases in strategic ‘oil’ locations. You also promote ‘regime-change’ where such regimes threaten ‘your interests’, and/or your paranoia.

For without oil, modern societies simply cannot be sustained; and technologically advanced societies and economies must and will suffer irretrievable collapse. In its train, all the attendant anarchical horrors automatically deriving from major and widespread collapse of once-stable societal support systems and infrastructure.

Of course, the present “financial global empires” reality did not just “suddenly emerge”! No! Requiring a few decades to achieve, it was all very carefully and cunningly planned by very ruthless and ultimately evil “money-men” who set about creating vast personal fortunes through manipulation of the “American system”! That devious legacy has wrought perhaps the greatest division between the “haves” and “have-nots” in human history and set-in train the latter-day emergence of the so-called 1% who actually control and manipulate much of what takes place on earth. So how did it all come about?

THE “BIG THREE” OF FINANCIAL CONTROL AND MANIPULATION ---
THE “FED”, THE WORLD BANK AND THE IMF

An early seventies-era book: “NONE DARE CALL IT CONSPIRACY” by author, Gary Allen, tracks the devious machinations of European bankers who emigrated to America and began --- with the collusion of compliant “law-makers” --- the systematic dismantling of then independent American banks to form the Federal Reserve Bank; in itself independent of government control. Allen, along with Larry Abraham, had difficulty finding a publisher willing to ‘take it on’. (Concord Press: Rossmoor, California.)

From clear records, it is a forceful and detailed narrative that reveals the actions of very clever and obscenely-greedy men whose long-laid goals of financial control ultimately wrought the great financial collapse of 2008; a “collapse” which very quickly brought down many other financial entities around the world. U.S Political and economic “collusion” ensured that none of the key players were “punished” for the incredible hardship they inflicted on the many millions who handed over to them hard-won earnings.

Despite the aftermath, no real and meaningful change occurred. In a very short space of time, it was “business as usual”.

The whole occurrence demonstrated in the strongest possible way the immutability of The Law of Reciprocal Action in its sure and unassailable outworking. If there was ever to be an example of how this Great Law of Karmic Power might impact on the affairs of humans to such an extent that it would come as a shock and terrible awakening that something, indeed everything, was out of kilter right across the globe, then the 2008 “collapse” was certainly one! That economic crash in America sent its viral-laden tentacles out to infect the rest of the world.

In our increasingly uncertain times, knowledge of The Laws of Creation readily permits us to ‘see’ what will come next -- for this is precisely the period of global collapse. For whilst we can rightly place blame at the feet of the manipulators in terms of the “Reciprocal Effect”, the same principle must be applied to the millions of so-called “small investors” who placed their money and trust in the hands of such men. In this situation can be seen the simple equation of Creation-Law that: “Decisions really do equal Consequences”!

Chief Seattle’s great observation that the “white man’s obsession” with the acquisition of money would one day bring about his ruin was clearly shown in that aftermath. Of course, that was not the “final collapse”; no. the last one is quietly waiting out its ordained time.

If you were one of the tens of millions affected yet despaired of ever knowing why, then Allen’s dissertation will provide the answer. Unfortunately, however, nothing is going to change for you, simply because at this time money is power and control.

Opposition to the source of Allen’s writings at the highest levels in the U.S. prevented its publication for years. Once published, however, it became a runaway best-seller in very short order. Of course, nothing changed.

So, reader, learn how careful and cunningly-legislated manipulation over many decades wrested complete financial control from once independent banks, and placed them all under one single umbrella --- The Federal Reserve Bank of America! United States Congressman, John G. Schmitz, wrote this Introduction.

“The story you are about to read is true. The names have not been changed to protect the guilty. After reading this book, you will never look at national and world events in the same way again. ...
At first it will receive little publicity and those whose plans are exposed in it will try to kill it by the silent treatment. For reasons that become obvious as you read this book, it will not be reviewed in all the “proper” places or be available on your local bookstand. ...
Having been a college instructor, a State Senator and now a Congressman, I have had experience with real professionals at putting up smokescreens to cover up their own actions by trying to destroy the accuser. I hope that you will read this book carefully and draw your own opinions and not accept the opinions of those who of necessity must attempt to discredit the book. Your future may depend upon it.”
October 25th, 1971.

The final sentence in John G. Schmitz’s Introduction to None Dare Call It Conspiracy reads: “Your future may depend upon it.” Gary Allen noted that American President F.D.R. once said:

“In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.”

Allen tells us that decades ago Professor Carroll Quigley, who taught at the Foreign Service School in Georgetown University and also at Princeton and Harvard, produced a 1300-page, 8-pound tome -- Tragedy and Hope -- that detailed the exact process by which the world became economically interlocked, and who engineered it. Thus, the How and the Why! The Why is simple enough: Professor Quigley states it as:

“...nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole.”

The How, however, is the stuff of conspiracy; of which we all must disbelieve and mock or be labelled silly conspiracy-theorists. Yet Montagu Norman, a former head of the Bank of England, stated:

“...that the Hegemony of World Finance should reign supreme over everyone, everywhere, as one whole supernational control mechanism.” To that conspiratorial end, the author, on page 9, very early on asks a key question.
“Why is it that virtually all ‘reputable’ scholars and mass media columnists and commentators reject the cause and effect or conspiratorial theory of history? Primarily, most scholars follow the crowd in the academic world just as most women follow fashions. To buck the tide means social and professional ostracism. The same is true of the mass media.”

In that observation, we once more note Kierkegaard’s sage insight: “The crowd is the untruth!” So, despite the fact that ‘lone voices’ are often labelled ‘conspiracy theorists’, the history that Professor Quigley details is exactly that -- the history of how the world’s financial system became interlocked. Under this system, Reginald Mckenna, President of the Midlands Bank of England, observed:

“Those that issue the money and credit direct the policies of government and hold in their hands the destiny of the people.”

From a very early time in American history, banks were primarily independent entities and often individually-owned, set up to serve a need: e.g., as brokers in the early fur trade. As well, in the ‘cow-towns’ and mining towns of a rapidly-growing 19th century America, these independently owned banks sprang up to service the increasingly sophisticated, permanent towns ‘across the frontier’.

However, individually owned banks did not suit the aims and goals of the European bankers then becoming firmly established in the key cities along the U.S. Eastern seaboard. Plans were formulated to bring all banks under a single controlling umbrella; but how to achieve it and make it stick? Thus came into being “The Fed” --- the Federal Reserve Bank of America, and all its subsequent “activity” and influence. From the book: “The Helmet and the Cross.” W.H. Canaway.

“The West. Take the money and run. Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. And the drugs internationals and the gambling internationals; environmental destruction in the name of progress; the sexual morality of the mole-rat with attendant plagues; the weapons of mass murder. And only a few men and women had paused to consider that certain behaviour patterns might be wrong.”

In terms of the sure and immutable outworking of The Eternal Laws in their absolute reciprocal effect upon human decision-making, the mind-set of those devious “money-men” can be readily seen for what it is. Such manipulative practices that ensured their ongoing wealth are the antithesis of the Divine Admonition to:

Do for others what you would want them to do for you!”

Compare that with King Solomon! When made monarch, he asked only that he be blessed with wisdom in order to rule fairly. And because he asked only for that, he was given riches that for the time were beyond compare.
